AYECO:
Empowering Independence Through Innovation
Born out of empathy and engineering ingenuity, Ayub Yaqub Engineering Company (Ayeco) is
rede昀椀ning mobility for people with disabilities in Pakistan and beyond. Ayeco’s journey began with
a deeply personal mission, to help the Founder’s grandmother regain independence after a pelvic
bone injury. What started as a university project soon evolved into Pakistan’s 昀椀rst voice-operated
wheelchair, setting a new benchmark for assistive technology in the country.
“ I applied to the LCE Incubation Programme soon after graduating and got selected. As an
engineer, I had little idea about business development, but LCE’s trainings helped me grow into
an entrepreneur,” shares Faez Ayub, Founder and CEO of Ayeco. “LCE gave us the foundation to
patent our voice-enabled wheelchair and build multiple assistive products for the di昀昀erently abled
community. The Makers Lab, in particular, played a crucial role in our growth. It’s one of the few labs
in Pakistan that o昀昀ers comprehensive tools, expertise, and manufacturing facilities under one roof;
”
everything you need to iterate and bring an idea to life.
Today, after nearly a decade of innovation, Ayeco stands as a market leader in Pakistan’s assistive
technology sector, o昀昀ering a wide range of electric wheelchairs and mobility solutions that are now
being sold both locally and internationally.
