CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE FOR GAMING AND ANIMATION
The Centre for Excellence for Gaming and Animation (CEGA) is a project funded by the Ministry of Information, Telecommunications
and Technology’s Ignite fund with the objective of advancing Pakistan’s gaming and animation industry and promoting innovative
information and communication technology initiatives.
The project is being led by a consortium of partners including lead bidder HUM TV, and partners LUMS, Techsol Space Limited,
Sectionsoft (Private) Limited, Sablo Studio, IDEOFUZION (Private) Limited, and Agon Esports (Private) Limited. The objectives of
this project, running in Karachi and Lahore, is to set up a center of excellence that builds the capacity of the gaming and animation
industry by providing training to students, incubation services to start-ups, and access to coworking spaces, networking
opportunities and international knowledge exchange.
Based on its experience and expertise in running incubation programmes, LCE will contribute through specialised workshops,
training sessions, and curriculum development, ensuring that incubated developers, animators, and entrepreneurs not only gain
technical expertise but also the entrepreneurial skills needed to make their mark in the global creative economy.
