LCE, Where Ideas Take Flight.
FEMTECH INNOVATION HUB, CERP
The Femtech Innovation Hub for Pakistan was launched in March 2025, a collaboration between the Center for Economic Policy
and Research (CERP) and LCE. Funded by the Gates Foundation, this project aims to develop inclusive healthcare innovations,
catering to over 45 million women in Pakistan who lack access to basic healthcare services. The Femtech Innovation Hub is
Pakistan’s 昀椀rst dedicated platform created to support health-tech related start-ups that provide technology driven solutions and
interventions for primary healthcare for women in Pakistan. These include maternal and reproductive care, mental well-being,
menstrual and gynecological health, chronic illnesses, and digital mental health innovations. Through the programme, LCE will
provide participating start-ups tailored support on their business model development, and mentorship from experts across
healthcare, business, and entrepreneurial ecosystem helping their ideas mature into workable business solutions.
SUPERWOMEN PAKISTAN:
Revolutionising Women’s Health and Wellness
Superwomen Pakistan is addressing a critical gap in women’s health by combining education,
awareness, and access to feminine hygiene products through technology. Their FemTech platform
includes Hygia smart vending machines for discreet product access, a mobile app connecting
women to health resources, and Pakistan’s 昀椀rst-ever period comic book series designed to break
taboos through storytelling.
Sadaf Altaf Lohya, Founder Superwomen Pakistan talks about her vision,
