OGDCL CLEANTECH GRANT,
OIL & GAS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LIMITED
The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan’s largest state-owned energy enterprise, awarded a CleanTech
Grant to the LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship to establish a dedicated energy and cleantech zone within the Centre.
Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO OGDCL, shared the vision behind this initiative, noting that

LUMS WOMEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME,
GERMAN MINISTRY OF DEVELOPMENT – GIZ
The Women Leadership Programme is a 昀氀agship initiative aimed at empowering women in Pakistan’s textile industry. It is
funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by Deutsche
Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The Women Leadership Programme (WLP) is designed to equip participants with the practical skills, strategies, and
con昀椀dence needed to step into leadership roles. LCE is working with factories across 昀椀ve textile hubs namely in Karachi,
Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Sialkot, to improve women’s career mobility, focusing on imparting soft skills on leadership,
creating agents of change that can support greater gender-sensitive decision-making, and encouraging more females to
join the industry. This project o昀昀ers trainings that are a structured yet interactive learning experience, focusing on real-world
problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation tactics, team management, and workplace equity. The programme also gives
them access to peer support groups where female mentors can support their professional development.
