LCE, Where Ideas Take Flight.
PARTNERSHIPS AND
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
Over the years, LCE has provided technical consultancies to public and private sector organisations, international development
partners, corporates, and other incubators to design and deliver initiatives that extend the reach and impact of entrepreneurship.
These collaborations have helped diversify the LCE portfolio, from climate resilience and 昀椀ntech, to women’s leadership,
healthcare innovation, and creative industries, ensuring that start-ups and innovators are equipped with the networks, resources,
and exposure needed to thrive at both national and global levels.
LIVING INDUS, UN (FAO & UNICEF)
The Living Indus Initiative was a call to action by the Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan and United Nations in
Pakistan to restore the ecological health of the Indus River. The Initiative aimed to build awareness and create targeted investment
in actionable solutions to Pakistan’s sustainable development problems.
Under the Living Indus Initiative, LCE worked with the Indus Trust Fund, and associated UN agencies, UNICEF and FAO, to codesign and pilot a programme targeting young entrepreneurs aged 16 – 32 across Pakistan called the ‘‘Living Indus - Green Startup Youth Champions Award”.
Winners of the Award included Husk Cradle; an eco-friendly food packaging start-up designed from wheat husk to replace
single use plastics, Donitron; a start-up utlising drone technology to transform marketing, agriculture and geo tagging practices,
and Diyar; a start-up developing fabricated walls made of recycled plastic to provide a昀昀ordable housing and shelters.
The Award not only o昀昀ered a cash prize to the winning team, but also opened up space for them in LCE’s foundry programme and
its associated activities, including ‘O昀케ce Hours’ with experts in the 昀椀eld, especially from the United Nations.
